Where students connect with bands and learn the music business first hand …

By joining a Street Team and becoming actively involved in our promotional campaign, students will gain experience in all facets of the entertainment industry from inside the business. Opportunities to work in different areas of the industry will enable students to gain first-hand knowledge of the realities of working in this arena.

Marketing and Branding

Teams are developing marketing plans that will cross-market their artist’s music with third party product branding. With the help of PlayPro Media, artists will have their music and likeness featured on various promotional products and in various formats throughout the southeast. Active student marketing will ensure these branding opportunities benefit the bands and all parties involved in the campaign.

Promotion

Teams are using promotional tactics to spread the word about the artist ranging from on the ground flyer handouts, special events, video blogs and social media outreach to their current followers and the PlayPro Media community. Analytic reports will be monitored on a regular basis to ensure that the target markets in the southeast are being reached.

Radio

Teams are joining forces with Sony Nashville A&R’s Duane Hobson to target radio stations in the metro-Atlanta area and encourage them to play our Expo artists in their regular rotations. Students will need to

Artist Development

Teams are working directly with their artists in areas of development that include styling, song selection, and general composition. Students will also be responsible for community outreach to make their fans more visible on a local level. Opportunities for brand association will need to be developed jointly between students and their artists. All major activities will be monitored by industry to professionals to assure all final decisions are in the best interest of the artist, the students, the MEBU Program, and all third parties involved.

Touring

Using the online booking tool Celebrity Access, the teams are booking performance dates for their artists while learning the ropes of routing a national tour. Students are hosting a monthly JamFest at a local Atlanta venue as well as an Industry Mixer to encourage networking with prominent industry leaders in Atlanta.

Social Media

Through various methods of social media outlets teams are promoting the artist brand virally across the internet. The students will utilize their personal profiles and reach out to the follower already in their artist’s network. Active engagement with the PlayPro Media community through blogging and promotion of exclusive content will also play into the online promotional campaign.

Music Distribution

Street Teams will utilize Playpro Media’s distribution footprint with EdR Collegiate Housing to potentially reach over 25,000 students within the campus housing facilities. The PlayPro Media website is featured on the internet landing page for all housing communities and will encourage residents to find out more about each team and the projects they are working on with their artists. Users will be directed to sign up, listen to the music, and post a blog about their favorite artist from the Kennesaw region.

A big feature for our promotions and campaigns are college campuses (utilizing the EdR footprint to reach over 28,000 students on a daily basis).

Street Teams also promote continuously on social media outlets such to engage the online community and promote contests and concerts on our website.

Additional benefits include various prizes and free tickets to shows based on your participation in our campaigns.
